Holy Family Welcomes a New Parish Deacon!

Holy Family Parish is entering a new phase!  Our staff is going to increase with the appointment of Greg Sokolowski as our parish deacon.  He is appointed immediately and will be ordained a permanent deacon on January 8, 2022.  His personal introduction follows below:

I will be ordained in January and have been assigned to be the Deacon for this parish. I have been married to my wonderful wife Cheryl for 41 years. We have four adult children who are all married and have spouses who I also consider them as my own children. They have given us 17 beautiful grandchildren. We have been a member of Assumption Parish, Belmont for 30 years.

My first love is God, then my family and my church. I have enjoyed being a Catechist for Old and New Testament, presenter at Diocesan catechetical conferences on Catholic Evangelization, led Bible Studies, Family to Family Catechesis called Home Based Community, leader in the RCIA program, speaker at Confirmation Retreats, Core Team Leader and MC for a Men’s Ministry called That Man Is You, led Devotional Prayer Services such as Stations of the Cross, and facilitated Marriage Prep. I’ve volunteered in the Jail & Prison Ministry, Hospital Ministry, Home for Veterans, and have had the privilege to be an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharistic and Lector proclaiming the Word of God.

I went to The Catholic Evangelization Training Center in Northglenn, CO., to The Great Lakes Institute for Biblical Studies, to Aquinas College, the Called to Serve Program, and Notre Dame for the Diaconate.

I look forward to spending time in prayer and fellowship with you.  ~ Greg Sokolowski
