Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God. ~ Catechism of the Catholic Church
Baptism incorporates us into the life, death and resurrection of Christ and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in the world.
Baptisms at Holy Family are celebrated on the last Sunday of the month after the 11:00AM Mass.
Parents seeking to bring their child into the family of the Catholic Church are required to participate in a one-session Baptism Preparation Class. The class is scheduled each month by Msgr. Terry and are held at 7:15PM in the Rectory Lower Level. Sponsors may attend, but it is not required. For more information, or to register for a class, please call the parish office at 616-887-8222
Adults who wish to be baptized, or those who were baptized in another faith, but wish to become Catholic, can find more information about adult sacramental preparation on our website under RCIA.
