Bishop Walkowiak has asked for a special collection to be taken up in all parishes of the diocese this weekend to assist the people of Haiti. Haitians are coping with widespread devastation following a 7.2 magnitude earthquake last Saturday, Aug. 14. Rescue and recovery efforts were further complicated by Tropical Storm Grace which hit the island just days later.
All monies collected from this special collection (checks made out to Holy Family) will be sent to Catholic Relief Services. If you would prefer to donate online, the link to give directly to Haiti relief can be found on the diocesan website, grdiocese.org, or at crs.org.
