Memorial Garden Photos

Thank you to Sue Blackall, who envisioned and carried out the plans for the Holy Family Memorial Garden from start to finish! Thank you also to all of our volunteers who worked to plant their own trees and those of fellow parishioners who weren’t able to do the work! Your hard work was a blessing and a great example of love for your parish family! The efforts of everyone involved will be enjoyed for generations to come! You can view the planting photos HERE. Better yet, stop by and walk the grounds to really enjoy the view!

Tree Planting & Dedication of Holy Family Memorial Garden Prayer Service – June 15, 2021

 Prayer:

God of heaven and earth, the work of your hands in made known in your bountiful creation and in the lives of those who faithfully live their lives in your grace. Today we especially remember the life and work of our brothers and sisters, trusting your promise of everlasting life and love. Be present with us this day as we mark their lives and remember them and their life in you through the planting of these trees. May these trees speak the power of your life in our midst, deeply rooted and ever growing in all creation, through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Blessing of the Trees

Creator of life and Sustainer of seed and soil, of tree and flower, you have created this world and all that lives in it. It is to You that we come in this prayer of dedication and blessing , for you are the giver of life and the sustainer of all that lives. We come to you to dedicate these trees in memory of our family  members and friends whom you continue to hold in your generous grace. We give you thanks for their lives and come to you in prayer. May these trees remind us of those whom we love and who are held forever in your never-ending love. May these trees dig deep roots and grow wide branches to bear witness to your abundant love.

We ask for your blessing upon these trees and upon us, that life might dwell and bear witness to the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we pray. Amen.

After the prayer service the trees were blessed with holy water.
