{"id":1143,"date":"2015-04-30T18:52:11","date_gmt":"2015-04-30T23:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/holyfamilsparta-org.azurewebsites.net\/?page_id=1143"},"modified":"2020-03-02T14:15:59","modified_gmt":"2020-03-02T19:15:59","slug":"childrens-liturgy-of-the-word-clw","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.holyfamilysparta.org\/?page_id=1143","title":{"rendered":"Children&#8217;s Liturgy of the Word &#8211; CLW"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>CHILDREN\u2019S LITURGY OF THE WORD (CLW)\u00a0 \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/documentcloud.adobe.com\/link\/track?uri=urn%3Aaaid%3Ascds%3AUS%3Ae9517e0a-a183-4dd5-b97a-b4ed36b0b53b\" target=\"_blank\">Leader\/Helper Schedule<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b><\/b><b>What is Children\u2019s Liturgy of the Word?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>It is a worship experience offered to children in 1st-4th grades that adapts the scripture readings from Sunday\u2019s Mass to a way that children may more easily comprehend the deep meaning of God\u2019s Word.<\/p>\n<p><b>When is it?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>It is held during the 11:00am Mass every Sunday from Sept.-May (with the exception of Christmas and Easter Sundays). \u00a0 CLW begins the first Sunday, after Labor Day.<\/p>\n<p>The children are called up to the front of the church after the opening prayer to be dismissed for CLW and return during the offertory.<\/p>\n<p><b>Keep in mind\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This is still Liturgy. The children need to be reverent in behavior and understand they are still at Mass. It is a way to enable children to participate in the formal worship experience of the community.
